“It depends. For home games, I tend to have a consistent gameday hairstyle, which is two small braids that lead into a bun. I have worn this style since freshman year volleyball and believe that wearing it brings me good luck and confidence. However, for away games, I don’t really care but usually a ponytail with bubbles since it is simple and easy.” – Evonne Bergman, junior
“When I first tried it for myself, it worked really well in keeping the hair out of my face and held up pretty well, and I thought it just looked really cute. I do believe that it gives me confidence because I’m a strong believer that if you look good, you’ll play, so if my hair looks good, then I’ll play good.” – Alexandria Schnedier, sophomore
“I wear bubble braids most of the time for softball and volleyball, and I wear them because it’s simple, cute, but also time efficient – it really helps me keep the hair out of my face while giving me a lot of confidence.” – Jordyn Guzman, junior
“When I find hairstyles for gymnastics, it’s also on Pinterest. I’ve been styling my hair for gymnastics since I was about six years old. I like to wear it because it gives me a lot of confidence and makes me feel good, and I do better too.” – Aina Dever, freshman
