“FAMJAM4000” by Jordan Ward
“I feel like I’ve changed quite a bit as a person. The song has helped me change my perspective on things, especially about my connections with others. The main thing is they don’t have to be blood-related to be considered family. As long as you’ve known them for a while and you know you can trust them, it’s better to reach out if you need to talk than to bottle up your emotions and keep them to yourself. Sometimes if you let things eat away at you for too long, you end up not growing as a person, which is not the healthiest.”

“Say Don’t Go (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”
“I’m in Girl Scouts and we went on our final road trip this year, and that was the song on repeat. I immediately think of all the Girl Scout friends I’ve made over the past seven years, and I get really sad.”

“Godspeed” by Frank Ocean
“The way Frank Ocean tells the story about wishing people who are not in their life anymore the best is similar to senior year as we’re going different ways. I used to struggle a lot with leaving these people behind. Every time my friends and I have a big hangout, I associate that song with it because in the back of my mind, these are the last few times I have with these people. That song just goes with it, particularly for big school events like my senior night for track and field and BOTC. That music helped me understand what I was going through and let me know that everything was going to be okay.”

“Cooler Than Me” by Ethan Fields
“I listened to the original song ‘Cooler Than Me’ by Mike Posner with my brother. This is more of a rock cover, and it fits into the person I am now. But I still have that sentimental tie with it. All three years I tried to fit in, and now, I’m actually dressing how I want to. I’m wearing outfits that actually make me happy.”
