Sophie Krivokapic places at statewide swimming competition
On Friday, sophomore Sophie Krivokapic placed in two events at the California Interscholastic Federation swimming and diving championship at Clovis West High School in Fresno, Calif.
Krivokapic placed third in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 53.66 seconds and fifth in the girls 100 yard butterfly with a time of 54.07 seconds.
Prior to finals, she placed first in both the butterfly and backstroke preliminaries in order to qualify for the final round.
Krivokapic swims year-round at Santa Clara’s Swim Club in the High Performance group and with SCHS’s swim team where she received the Most Valuable Player Award.
