Frosh Soph game was cancelled due to Titan injuries
The Frosh Soph homecoming game against Gunn High School was cancelled Friday. The game was called off because a player on the opposing team was injured, taking their numbers down to 11, Bruins coach Hank Roberts said.
Both Roberts and the Bruins players expressed disappointment about the cancelled game.
“I was actually pretty upset because it was homecoming,” said freshman JV player Nicholas Garcia.
“We worked so hard from January to the season to have the ability to go 1-0 every week,” Roberts added.
As a solution to the cancelled game, the marching band performed on the field. In addition, general admission prices were dropped from $8 to $5.
After the performance, Tomás Mier was announced homecoming king, and Katie Patterson was announced homecoming queen.
