Justin Bieber makes a comeback with his new album Purpose
Music Appreciation Week
Justin Bieber came out with his new album, “Purpose,” earlier this month, and it is packed with apologies and redemption for his fans.
Last year, Bieber, 21, was making headlines behind bars instead of by singing them, and six months ago many would have never predicted “Purpose” would be one of the best pop albums of 2015.
With hit singles “Where Are Ü Now,” “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry,” as well as a tracklist full of collaborations with Big Sean, Halsey and Ed Sheeran, Bieber proves he is ready to get back into the music world.
Compared to Bieber’s 2012 album “Believe,” and his 2013 album “Journals” – where he put emphasis on how to treat a girl and being in love – this new album represents his maturity and reflections on his past mistakes including his DUI and arrest last year.
With this album, I love how you can listen and feel the faith, love and heartbreak he expresses, emotions everybody can relate to. Throughout the album, Bieber owned up to his mistakes and reminded his listeners that he is not perfect.
The album truly reveals Bieber’s character as an artist. It is refreshing to see a celebrity show that they are just like everybody else.
My favorite track on the album is “Life Is Worth Living.” This song is a great example of Bieber using his music to overcome hard times in his life. Having to prove to everyone that he can handle fame, Bieber had to make this new album. After falling off the radar for almost two years, he finally proves his talent and heart to the world.
Justin Bieber has come a long way from the young boy who stole America’s heart on YouTube. “Purpose” is vulnerable and honest – something many Beliebers have been waiting for.
