Malfunction triggered fire alarm last Wednesday
Last Wednesday, prior to classes starting, students were disrupted from their activities and directed to the back field due to a false fire alarm.
The fire alarm was triggered at around 9:40 a.m. by an “alarm equipment malfunction,” according to Monica Martinez, the principal’s secretary.
The manufacturer will be looking into the issue to see where the exact problem actually was, Martinez said.
Students were released from the backfield before school began, and no class was interrupted.
